Another sort of false prayers are our regrets. Discontent is the want of self-reliance: it is infirmity of will.

  1. These pictures really helped me understand how one can not let regrets control their life. It is important to not regret anything and that everything happens for a reason.

  3. The second photo you chose was striking. The women looks as though she is breaking free. I think that idea is expressed in the quote, when you are self-reliant, you are free and content. I also like the third photo you chose. It shows both the literal and metaphorical sense of the cliche 'a fish out of water'. The fish that is swimming away from the others is non-conformist. He is making his own decisions.

  4. The pictures really help me understand the quote better. The pictures really show the self reliance behind the quote. The fish is breaking free from the other fish by jumping into the glass. By doing this he is self reliant and is living with no regrets. This is important with self reliance as you cannot live with regrets if you are self reliant.
